Tournament series in Greater Jakarta 9

The cards here are tournaments that come back under the same name, whoever organises them. The largest is the JAPFA Chess Festival, named after its sponsor and split into many sections; for 2026 the tournament database lists it at JAPFA The Learning Centre in Megamendung, Bogor Regency, while a radio report places its closing day at the Gedung Serbaguna in Senayan, where earlier editions were listed. The same sponsor runs the JAPFA FIDE Rated tournament, and a cup named after the chair of the parliament’s legislative body has moved from Pasar Pagi Mangga Dua to Senayan.

Pelajar Hebat is a student series at Pasar Pagi Mangga Dua, and the En Passant League takes a junior series to a café, a restaurant and a mall in Tangerang Selatan, Gading Serpong and Cilandak. Further out, a political party’s branch holds the non-master Gerindra Cup in Tigaraksa, the Bogor city league plays team cups at Pasar Gembrong, Chess City Gading Serpong had reached its eleventh open, and Warkop Pidicaka in Kemanggisan kept a long run of “ngeround” rounds.
